What does registration fees cover?
The registration fees are made up of 3 compinents: The divisional registration (ranges from ($160 - $260 depending on division), a volunteer work bond ($100 which is refunded upon completion of one of the many volunteer opportunities throughout the season), and the fundraising raffle ($100. Drawing on or around mid-June. 125 winners. $150 each). The raffle helps fund capital improvements made to enhance the program,
What gear does my son need?
All players should have a glove, a bat, a heart guard, a cup, and an equipment bag (optional)
When will I receive the uniform and what’s included? Do I need to buy pants?
Players should recieve your uniform within a week of the opener. Pants are provided to minors and younger divisions in the Spring. Pants are not provided in the fall.
Can my son be on a team with his best friend Johnny?
I don't believe Johnny signed up this season, however we do try to accommodate requests when possible, but after AA ball this becomes less practical as our main goal is maintaining competitive balance. In that the teams are put together through a draft, requests cannot always be accommodated.
Can my son play up a division or down a division?
No. We follow the age guidelines of the division charter without exception.
Does my son really need to play tball, he is 5 or 6 and has never played but all his friends are playing in another division.
The fundamentals learned in the tee ball division are an essential part of the players development thus it is required of players 4-6.
When are games?
Which days of the week and times?
the manager will typically poll the team and find a Time that accommodates the majority of families. Typically it us between 5-7:30 PM during the week.
How do I complete a work bond? And how do I get paid? Do I need to do multiple work bonds since I have multiple kids in the program? What are some of the responsibilities? Only 1 bond is required per family. Opportunities are available through the season and are posted throughout our social media outlets along with instructions for signing up. Refunds are processed soon after the obligation has been fulfilled.
Can I coach/manage? How do I go about it?
Sure. Contact the division commission and mark it down when you register. In the meantime you will need to attend a Rutgers Safety courses during complete a background check. The info is in the coaches section on our website as well as on the manalapan rec site.
When will I know what team my son is on?
about 10 days prior to the season opener.
When will the schedule be released?
First week in April and September
Where are practices held?
depending on the division practices can be held at one of the school fields, Holiday Park, Sanford Park, the legion, or the rec.
Where are games held?
How does the raffle work? Do I need to sell the raffles? Do I need multiple raffles if I have multiple kids in the program? Only one raffle is required per family. You will recieve a book of 10 tickets all of which are placed in a drawing for a prize of a $150 visa gift card. There are 125 winners. You can win multiple times. You may participate or sell your tickets for $10 a piece.
